About Michael Oon
After working 30 years in general management positions across the Asia Pacific region, I moved into executive coaching.
As a coach, I draw on my corporate experience from food manufacturing and specialty chemicals industries, in companies such as Bayer, Orica and Fonterra. I have led and managed across a broad range of functional areas including operations, sales, marketing and regional management. As such, I can empathise with my clients while supporting them as their sounding board; challenging, cheering them on and keeping them accountable.
Supporting executives and managers to unleash their leadership potential, whilst retaining authenticity, is what inspires me as a coach. Throughout their development process, I encourage them to stay curious, increase their own resourcefulness and take some risks without compromising 'who' they really are.
I have coached partners, directors, and managers in the IT, financial services, insurance, aged and community care, and legal sectors.
